Why a Wood Flag
Pride you can see every day. You love this country. A real wood flag turns that pride into something you can hang on the wall — not a sticker, not a print, but solid wood that warms a room and means a little more every time you notice it.
The gift that finally means something. For the veteran, the dad, the patriot who's impossible to buy for — something real they'll keep for good, and think of you every time they see it.
Real, not mass-produced. No particle board, no printed graphics, nothing made overseas. Solid American pine, torched, stained, and sealed to last a lifetime.
My Story
I'm a one-man shop out of Trussville, Alabama. Every handcrafted wood American flag I build starts as raw lumber — I cut it, sand it, stain it, stencil and spray-paint the stars, and assemble it by hand in my garage.
There's no team. No factory. No overseas manufacturing. When you order a wood flag from me, I personally build it start to finish. That takes about 6–8 hours per flag and roughly 4 weeks from order to your door.
Before the garage, I served. U.S. Army, 1999–2003 — 31R, communications — stationed in Mannheim, Germany. The flag meant something to me long before I ever cut one out of lumber. That's part of why I take every one of these builds personally.
I started doing this because I wanted something that felt real. Something heavy. Something you don't pick up at a big box store. A rustic wood American flag that a grandkid might ask about someday.
That's what I build. That's all I do.
The Product
This is a full-size 3-foot handcrafted wood American flag built from real lumber. Every stripe is individually cut and stained. The stars are stenciled and spray-painted. No two are exactly the same — making each one a truly unique piece of patriotic wall decor or the perfect veteran gift.
How It's Made
I pick lumber with good grain and character — pieces that will look right once finished into a handcrafted wood American flag.
Every stripe is individually cut to size and sanded smooth. This takes the most time and it shows in the final flag.
Red and white stripes are hand-stained. The blue field is stained, and the stars are stenciled and spray-painted. No shortcuts on any rustic wood flag I build.
Once everything is dry and inspected, I assemble the final wood flag, package it carefully, and ship it free to your door.
Recent Work
Every wood American flag is built one at a time from real hardwood, hand-stained, stenciled and spray-painted, and signed. Here's a look at recent flags — each one a one-of-a-kind piece ready to hang as patriotic wall decor or gift to a veteran.

Questions
How long does it take to get my handcrafted wood flag?
About 4 weeks from when you order. I build every wood American flag myself so there's a natural wait. I'll reach out if anything changes on timing.
What does shipping cost on a wood flag?
Shipping is free. The $349 price covers everything — the handcrafted wood flag, packaging, and delivery straight to your door anywhere in the US.
Can I get a custom wood flag?
Every flag I build is custom in the truest sense — one-of-a-kind and made by hand, so no two are ever exactly alike. What I don't take is made-to-order requests (added names, new designs, or other sizes). You choose from three designs — American, Alabama, and Thin Blue Line (coming soon) — each in two sizes.
How do I hang a wood American flag?
The flag comes ready to hang. Standard picture hooks or keyhole brackets work great. It weighs a few pounds so a solid anchor into drywall or a stud is ideal. Full guide: how to hang a wood flag the right way →
Is the wood flag meant for indoor or outdoor use?
Indoor. The wood and finish aren't designed for weather exposure. It'll look sharp on a wall for decades — perfect as patriotic home decor or a display piece.
Is a handcrafted wood flag a good veteran gift?
It's one of the most popular reasons people order. A real wood American flag built by hand in the USA means a lot to veterans and their families. I've had families with multiple service members say it's something they'll treasure forever. Read why it makes such a meaningful veteran gift →
